⚡️🚨 NEW - HSBC blocked a customer from using its mobile app after detecting the Bitwarden password manager, installed via F-Droid, on the user’s phone.

Reminder: apps can see what else is installed on your phone. Your bank app knows which Bitcoin tools you use.

This is Twitter BS.

On modern Android (11+), a random app cannot silently get a full list of all installed apps unless it has special permissions or exemptions.

I'd like to know how it knows how it got installed? Play store knows, by doing checks against their approved released, I find it hard to believe the HSBC shit wrapper app does something like that. But who knows.
