Why is hacker news so hell bent on never questioning the establishment these days? Take a look at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43234153 , the first comment already mentions one of the effects of constant never ending financial guarantees by the government (be it via student loans or direct support), namely the ballooning of administrative staff that is just there to burn money and hire more administrators. But all the comments just try to nitpick or one-up the comment, without even checking if it’s true or not. When did this happen?
