If there are nostr folks in your geohash, they might be afraid of sharing location data and still end up with zero geohashed posts

Yeah I've thought about posting with location on just to test but then I think "well I don't want to be the ONLY one" lol

Where's your nearest nostr geocache? That's another indicator of how many people want to share nostr location data near you (not many worldwide so far there either)
How do I find out? I haven't heard of nostr geocaches before

Oh that's a cool site! Unsurprisingly though, the closest cache is in a major city and there's nothing near me.
I might set one up around here one day though and see if anyone ever logs it. I've done a little bit of geocaching before and it's a fun excuse to go exploring
