The 10 principles of war propaganda
by Arthur Ponsonby
1. We do not want the war.
2. The enemy camp bears sole responsibility for the war.
3. The leader of the enemy has demonic traits ("the villain on duty").
4. We fight for a good cause.
5. The enemy fights with forbidden weapons.
6. The enemy commits atrocities on purpose; ours are mistakes by accident.
7. Our losses are small, the enemy's are enormous.
8. Respected personalities, scientists, artists and intellectuals support our cause.
9. Our mission is sacred.
10. Anyone who doubts our reporting is on the side of the enemy and is a traitor.
