I still want to build [Gyges] as a monero patreon/superchat system but I can't help but see a space for a monero community centered nostr client that has the NIP-XMR functionality I've been developing. Its going to divide my time a lot and I've tried reaching out to people have said they're working on things but I see no working instances or received any responses.

I know what I'd like in a nostr client. Minimalist, text-based, monero tipping, follow feed and RSS feed.

What do you think is missing in the client you use? What do you think is unnecessary in the client you use?

Build it. Please πŸ™. It's much needed. I'd love to tip people monero. There was an attempt at an Amethyst fork but no bueno. Fell apart. Talks about people devs picking up where they left off but I have not heard anything.

Buts its very much needed I think.

For me the client has to be compatible with the NIP standard. Meaning, it should have short notes, long-form posts, streams, videos, emotes, lists, groups etc etc. Then let the user decide which CONTENT they want to see in their app. Like just short messages for example.

Any client not compatible with the NIP standard has no place in my world.

FYI, NIPs are centralized garbage and have lost any β€œquality” they had a year ago.

where could I read this "NIP Standard" or do you simply mean the common NIP's used by clients

oh please do this πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

oh a nice feature would be something like 'profile signatures' for your friends.

what I mean by that is:

-currently your pubkey is exposed to all when you post notes

-I don't want someone to read all my notes and deduce some private or behavioral information

-Something along the lines of a one time npub would be cool.

-A way to send your friends a view key to all your one time npubs would be fire.
