What's "dating"?

I made my first account when I was 6-7 years married and that was for online gigs, and my hubby made it to contact family when we were 9 or 10 years married. I don't see any issues with that, most of our friends don't really have time for social media, too many things to do in life and with work. We usually call anyways.

I only use Nostr, I guess I have LinkedIn too because I have to for work but I don't actually use it. Things like Discord maybe to chat to people, not sure what counts as social media specifically.

To me this question is mostly centered around the likes of Facebook, which I've never used personally. I don't particularly care if someone uses it as long as it doesn't involve me, but I'd welcome it if they didn't.
