i understand your feelings of anger and you’re valid to feel that. i stopped caring a long time ago about things that don’t personally affect me, especially stuff that make me angry. it’s almost always a distraction, and waste of time where i could just focus on myself and my own problems.

anger isn’t good for your mind, body, and soul. i’d rather minimize the amount of anger i hold for things that don’t affect me at all.

As someone raising a child in this complicated world, I do believe this affects me and causes me to view these kinds of things a little differently… As I navigate explaining these things, and contextualizing them to my 10-year-old daughter, who is trying to understand what it means to be a girl, soon a teenage girl in the world that I am giving her.
