Yes in some regards but probably not all. That’s why I emphasized the workers rights, peace, supporting immigrants, the arts and science. In that way, absolutely

Progressives of this era may have nominally supported workers rights, but they also were also warhawks and ardent imperialists

Sure, but the local progressive communities were not. I see your point though, that wasn’t good!

WW2 was terrible for politics and the state of American government, but dont even get my started on WW1!
