You can't let them believe too long. Adults who think a fat man in a red suit brings them free stuff are called "marxists" and they tend to fair poorly in the world
The Santa problem is that kids find out you can straight up lie to their faces for years - you lead by example, and you just modeled an 8 year lie HA! Good luck with the teenager years!
