If they knew about it, they propbably would knew that their democracy-models are an absolute joke šŸ™ˆ. But even in switzerland 99.9% laws are made by politicians and not voted by the people, organizing referendums takes a lot of time and money šŸ™ˆ.

Yupp two of the things are about the rental contracts šŸ™‚.

Right on! I've actually created a whole website/project for this at https://thedemocracyupgrade.org/.

Just to try to show people that our "democracies" are a joke and that Switzerland definitely has better system.

Not perfect of course but MUCH better than what we have, an upgrade basically.

Not a lot of people care though :D

Yeah, I wonder if municipalities could start more digital efforts to streamline votes and/or polls, at the local level. I'm sure somewhere someone could start a kind of open source voting app to at least allow people to give their opinions and polls on every single legislation (at the municipal level).

Have a great day!

Love your initiative and the website. Believe it or not, couple friends and me are working on a concept that would take even swiss democracy to a new level and does not necessarily require digital processes.

Great point about the municipal votings, making regional laws that are voted by regional people is a great way to increase democracy. But this also shows an important fact:

Generalizing and globalizing laws more and more, does actually decrease democracy, but increases system efficiency. Corporatists and politicians love efficiency and hate effectivity.

Dang šŸ™ˆ! Gotta go, breakfast asks for me šŸ˜‚

Thank you so much for the kind words!!

I’m very interested in your project, would love to hear more about it. Do you have any links already?

I’m very interested in the liberty and direct democracy intersection in general. Very few people in this space. Would love to interview some Swiss people about their system and experience.

If you would like someone to interview you for your project feel free let me know! Or if you know people interested in this kind of stuff :)
