yeah, it's a brilliant idea and really not hard to add a thermostat override... in some cases you may even be able to just swap out the thermostat unit built into it for one that works with above freezing temps... in most cases it's a pretty simple circuit, can even be just one thermometer and smol circuit with solenoid and done
