Wondering if it has something to do with relays or with the client used…

I don’t think that it had to do with the relay. The gif is posted as link like the avatar or banner.
If Nostr.build is converting from gif to jpeg I think it’s related to the client using Nostr.build or the website itself.
Do you tried a other browser?
