Haha yea! There are people who do poi that also yo-yo and they’re much better than I am at this style it’s like watching someone use nunchucks
I can do the basics of poi. I learned years ago but then kind of stopped practicing so I've been slowly dipping my toes back in. Things have gotten much more techie since I last actively practiced. 😅
I can definitely see the skill set translating over to that style of yoyo though. Granted, I'm crap with the yoyo.
One day you should post some of your poi :) it would be cool to see it! Closest thing to a poi trick I can do with the yo-yo is called a tangler. I believe it’s named after a poi trick of the same name. Once I get a bit better at it I’ll post it :)
