Friday to Monday prepping project. 5 smoked turkey carcasses, 5 pounds of fried sliced turkey breast, 5 sautéed onions, 25 sautéed carrots, and 15 sautéed celery sticks yielded 3 gallons of frozen, vacuum sealed turkey soup “slabs” and 14 quarts of pressure canned smoked turkey broth for later recipes. I would have liked to freeze dry some of the soup, but just working with freezing and vacuum sealing technology atm. Hoping to raise the $ for a HarvestRight freeze dryer soon and start assembling five gallon food grade pails of Mylar bagged emergency provisions for sale at the local farmers market.
