They didn’t, Snorts website is also a PWA (Progressive Web App), so if you click the share button in Safari and then “add to Home Screen”, it creates an icon that behaves/looks like a native app, same with Iris, and now Coracle.

And with iOS 16.4 there will also be notifications for PWAs.

nice I didn't know that you can save those that way. though you need to put the private key directly in that case right?

Unfortunately yeah, there’s a limitation with PWAs on iOS where they don’t have access to safari extensions like Nostore
