I mean for starters just something for you and the family to use like a good set of walkie talkies is a good start.

A uv5r is a good way to reach out to others.

I’ll look into it. And the doomsday scenario we’re talking about is if there’s a major cellphone outage? Or camping/hiking and there’s no coverage or both?
