I can see people's icons turning green, but I don't hear anything. Is that normal?

On my comp

I had to go into my mic settings and turn it from default to the same exact one to hear anything

Mic 1 (default)

Mic 1 <-------

Mic 2

, and also make sure i didnt block it.

Yeah, that was it for me I had to enable microphone to start hearing.
