The latency is insane, literal seconds. I have to find out how to improve that. This, by the way, was from node A to node B in the same family, no less! So... that's odd. Will have to do more tinkering to improve speeds.

Have you tried with tor hidden services? I think it will be similar in seconds latency, but maybe a bit faster 😅
I have no experience yet using i2p, maybe want to explore that later
