Doesn't surprise me at all. I don't think he is smart enough to be a spook. Just a grifter. You could always tell when his grift would change. His post of the day would start off with. "Emily and I went down to Amish country and we noticed ___ and had this epiphany to ___". Things would go down hill fast from there.

There were a ton of Western European, and Chinese dissidents on Gab before Torba blocked Tor. You know people are in Jail/dead because of that POS.
Those dissidents where picked up because they did not use Tor or a good VPN.
Torba did not care.
He started off with a good idea then the advertising money started to flow, then he got greedy.
I use a VPN because I can not shoot an army when they come for me.
