One of the more uninformed comments I often hear—especially from fellow Americans—is:

“Iranians should’ve overthrown the regime a long time ago.”

Well, Johnny, guess who helped stop them?

A U.S. president who stood by the regime in 2009 while a real revolution unfolded in the streets.

An administration that transferred $150 billion to the regime between 2015 and 2016.

Another that later sent over $10 billion more.

If we truly want to support the Iranian people, we need to stop aiding the Khomeinists. Only then can the Iranian people have a real chance to free themselves
