Fiat has had 100 years to become ‘easy’ to use, and it is still only “easy to use” within your home country.. and even this depends on where your home country is and what banking system they use, and even then it is still not “easy” for everyone..
Also, it depends very much on your use case.
To mention just a few..
- Try sending a micropayment as a tip to someone (even in your home country) ..it’s impossible.
- Political activists in dictatorships have their bank accounts routinely frozen, and in that case bitcoin is very “easy to use” relatively speaking!
- Billions of people worldwide cannot open a bank account as they do not have the required KYC documentation, but they can use bitcoin/Lightning.
Lighting works flawlessly most of the time for most people in most places as long as there is power and an internet connection (which you need for any legacy fat app too).
I am still curious to hear which Lightning apps you have tried, since as I mentioned previously many work very well.
Leafly, while the ecosystem is still being developed, of course it will take time to perfect, so I am not really sure what you expect after just 16 years?

And I haven’t even touched on the aspect of fiat being a manipulated, corrupted system that constantly inflates and debases your money, effectively stealing your time, which is truly your most precious resource!
Yes, Bitcoin is ‘volatile’ when measured in that corrupted system, but that is only because it is still a tiny lifeboat being tossed around in a giant ocean (with a $2 trillion mkt cap in a fiat sea of $900 trillion). Over time, this will change.
All this said, your are of course free to choose where to put your time, your money and your energy. Be well.
