Try squeezing a fresh lime over it. Not only will that help with the smell, itβll improve the taste as they are complementary. The smell is caused by an enzyme called papain. This enzyme is beneficial for your digestive health and is also used in meat marinades for its tenderizing properties. π€π»
haha no, it's normally sweet and nice. Maybe diff country grows/imports diff types. Make sure its ripe though, and don't eat the seeds - scoop them out. In comparison on the smell, papaya is harmless compared to durians =)
