I don't feel safe having my kids around when I am on nostr because while there are some filters, it's definitely not kid friendly

Do your kids get phonetime? If yes what can they access on that phone?
Ipad in the family room. No web surfing. Any games require chat turned off. The worst thing I ever did was download youtube kids. They just treat them as mini TVs and we had to limit the app so they actually played some of their favourite games. Kids are 9 & 6
1-2 hrs a day it I am being honest with myself.

If you are setting individual limits in app, this has gave me the thought of only showing X min of video a day then they disappear from the feed
It's a fine line for me. I have a 5yr old.
Phone, tablet, laptop.
We do no screen days 3days a week. We only do 3 because I also don't want to hold him back from using tech to his advantage later on and not be able to use it as his peers can.
As to what he's watching, I use YouTube kids, but I have strict limitations set so only channels I approve can be watched.
Are filters set by relais or by the client? Or both?
