I just tried, they want 8000 plus 1.95%. what is going on there?

For on-chain deposits?
Mostly on chain yes, send 5000 sats for a 3245 "network fee". Fees are only 1-2 sats/vbyte when I tried according to mempool. Even for a lightning transaction they charge double my normal wallet, but it was like 8 SATs, not a big deal.
Why would you send 5000 sats on-chain?
