The reason the Swiss system could not work in the UK (yet) is that the swiss individually take on responsibility whilst the Brits love to abdicate what’s wrong to a third party. We need to whine less and look within a little more. In the meantime we can master DAO’s and smart contracts ready for when we are ready.
NEW EPISODE DROPPED...Swiss entrepreneur and political thinker Phil Lojacono joins me to explain Switzerland’s decentralised, citizen-led model works, and what broken democracies like the UK can learn from it before collapse becomes inevitable.

Discussion
Maybe, but from what I see the path forward to get the UK patient back on a healthy track seems obvious. There’s a lot of whining in Switzerland as well, btw. Reminds me of an old joke about the farmers putting their children the boots on the wrong way round (left and right exchanged) in order for them to learn whining from an early age 😜
I always wondered if Switzerland would loose it’s political role-model-appeal as soon as their economic stability would start to take big hits?
Think about it. Their strategy is marketing their neutral status when in reality they are not and this setup is the foundation of their economic wellbeing (Don’t hate the player, hate the game… The broken money game).
Spot on! Neutrality and freedom have been largely eroded by now in Switzerland, and all that remains is a shell that‘s being cultivated in hopes nobody sees through the veil…
Interesting! This is first hand or hear say?
Mine, hear say. Example. Just when the Russia Sanctions hit, people were explaining me how they continue business as usual with a certain (and probably not the only one) Russian company just by sending the payments to the official Russian office (not even trying to hide!) account in Switzerland or alternatively Egypt instead of for example Turkey and other nations which had to prohibit it because of EU pressure. Deliveries still go wherever the buyer wants them to go too.
IMO, if this is neutral, then even I could create an economically flourishing country this way :)
If you travel through the country and talk to the people, you realise how a large part of the population is frustrated by the way politics has little else to do than following Germany or the US. Yes, there is direct democracy, but from what I see, when it comes down to the really important aspects, these are buried in decisions over which no referendum can be called. Just take a look at how Switzerland treated its population during Covid… And over-regulation is rampant!
