Bitcoin is redefining everything.

Language, like money, loses value if inflated. If anything Bitcoin should cause us to consider language more carefully. Otherwise we might say Bitcoin is just another crypto like ETH. When they couldn’t be further a part from one another.

The parallels I mentioned between rabbinical scholarship and the Satoshi rabbit hole are not striking?

I'm not redefining anything - just making connections.

Agree that rigor is important in language.

If I understand parallel correcting, you are saying the way in which the Torah, God’s Word, was preserved through history has maintained its survival. It has reached a point of distribution that cannot be erased. No single centralized point of failure.

If so I liked that! I just didn’t think I agreed on the rabbit hole analogy, but I could’ve easily missed your point there.

Correctly*

100% on the decentralization. Its a remarkable achievement especially that it was achieved without the printing press. Being in the presence of printed parchment is undeniably special.

On the rabbi / rabbit hole thing - its wordplay yes - but many of us in the Satoshi rabbit hole are studying Bitcoin and its sub-disciplines like we are duty-bound. It resembles some of the rabbis I knew growing up in a certain way.

You reminded me of another parallel. On the parchment was the consensus truth at the time of God's word. On nodes.....same deal.
