Our bnb guests that just checked out were asking me questions about these btc stickers i have on the fridge in the cabin. Both of them had heard of btc, but didnt understand anything about it. We talked for a little while, and they used the qr codes on the stickers to learn more. I also gave them some wallet suggestions. My stickers are working! #grownostr #bnbstr

Nice one. What wereyour wallet suggestions?

Green, Aqua, Breez, and Cashapp for simplicity.

Maria would you recommend Moonpay for buying BTC?

I havent used moonpay, so i'm not able to say i recommend. For my dca buys i like River, they charge no fees if you dca. For smaller, quick buys, Strike and Cashapp work well.

thank you

I got Strike! I got BTC! I'm soooo excited, thank you so much for taking time and care to answer my newbie questions ❤️

I'm happy to help whenever i can. Excited with you that you got set up with Strike! This whole thing can surely be overwheming, and i'm not super techy either, but if i can help i certainly will. Just be careful you dont leave too much btc on any exchange. That should be your "walking around" btc, for quick lightning transactions.

thank you for that tip

Q: so Strike is an "exchange"...is Exodus (which I opened a while ago) my "wallet" to safely store BTC longer term? (thank you again for answering Q's!)

Well i use the "3 stack" method. One stack for "pocket money", like a strike, cashapp, or any lightning wallet, like Aqua, Green, Breez. The next stack is for medium size amts, more than i would be comfortable carrying on a phone wallet. For this i like Sparrow desktop wallet. I use this stack for btc that i might need in the near future. Then the third stack is my cold storage, the btc i plan to hold forever. For this stack i use a hardware wallet (Coldcard in my case, but there are others).

An exchange is just where you buy the bitcoin. Exodus is a wallet, and i think it works pretty well, except i like to use bitcoin-only wallets, where there is less attack surface, so thats why i like Sparrow wallet on desktop.

On Youtube, Ian Major and BTC Sessions both have excellent tutorials on setting up Sparrow wallet. They go on to connect it to a Coldcard, but the first setup steps are the same even if you dont connect it to Coldcard. I would watch both of them explain it, because i picked up different tips from both of them.

I have learned alot by listening to podcasts, so that might help you too. I'm not an expert by any stretch, but i listen to folks that know alot more than i do.

love all that, thanks so much

Well, I tried to figure out where to zap you (I'm on Damus) but only saw it on your profile so I did, but I have zero idea how much it was so I'm sorry if it was a lame amount and you're welcome if it was everything I had 😂

I'm on Amethyst (android), and under every note there is a small lightning bolt that i click on, to zap. Not sure about Damus.

You accept put Bitcoin on Airbnb? 😎

I accept it, but no one has ever paid me in btc for a booking.

Awesome orangepilling 🤠🤙
