The only I don't like is, when something like that is added in an update (and turned on by default) without me knowing it.

It's an attempt to filter spam.

Everybody has to see how it works for them.

I personally have turned it off, but propably will turn it on the moment, the next bot-spam-wave will hit NOSTR

relay admins need to take responsibility and fight spam

i offer a spam-free relay

I don't trust centralized solutions

my relay syncs and broadcasts to the major relays

so no real centralization

you can always pick up where you left off when you leave

Tell me about real centralization . What is that different than the Nostr we have now

forces you to use alby or their wallet

forces you to use their relay over your own, ie their cache relay

forces you to use their upload server for your media
