So if the trend is the emergence of Bitcoin Treasury type companies like MSTR, 21 Capital, Bitcoin Bond Company, etc, then these companies should develop mechanisms that allow equity investors to convert shares to Bitcoin.

I don't think that's what they have in mind. They need the money locked in, so they can devalue The stock to buy more Bitcoin.
