What would you do with an uncomfortable organic mattress that nobody wants to sleep on?

Instead of throwing it out or pawning on someone else we’re going to use it as insulation in the attic. We ended up with about 15 contractor bags of organic cotton fill. I sprayed it with boric acid and peppermint essential oil (to deter rats and bugs) and filled in the under-insulated ceiling joists just in time for our first cold spell 🥶
