thanks for always being a great spot! It's wonderful seeing how nos.lol grew. The idea of the #boycottjack experiment is to encourage more people to adapt small relays. Currently the notes get scraped by blastr and reposted to the large relays, missing out the small relays. So say if big relays were to ban Jack for 1-2 months, people might be more compelled to select small relays. It's just an experiment until the real gossip model is implemented for all.

I havent done and I don't do bans on request and unbans on request. Bans on request is pretty close to what we detest 😉
I don't think banning someone will change the whole network. Imo nostr is much bigger than each of us individuals.
I am hoping the spam filter script does well for a long time until I have to intervene. I don't want to do that in the short term.
thank you for sharing and for explaining the principles of banning ethos - its refreshing to understand the policies behind it. also i guess jack doesn't fit in the spam attributes to be banned lol. btw what are your thoughts on blastr and the challenges that it contributes towards decentralization ?
As far as I understand blastr helps with broadcasting, leading to better connection among users. Does it lead to centralization or decentralization? I guess it depends how you look at it.
Connection is generally good. Connecting great people is extra good.
