I always hear and read that, and yeah would be nice and maybe it will be, who knows, but at the moment it is not. E.g. 1 year performance in €: #Btc is up 11%, ETH is +38%, LTC +70%.

Don’t get me wrong I am a Bitcoin only, but depending of the horizon you take, it is simply not true, that BTC is outperforming every Altcoin. Unfurtunatly altcoin are not dead yet.
