an interesting thing i have learned from my spotty study of portuguese is the word "quer" which means "to want" or "to ask" is pronounced the same as "care"

quite interesting because the english word "query" is from the same latin root. in fact the word "queer" is also rooted in the same origin because it means "questionable" among other parts of the definition.

in dutch, also, the word "keer" which is also quite close means "times" as in "three times" - i don't quite see a connection there but probably there is one.

Querido

querido means charity i think? the latin word is "caritas"

It’s like someone you care about. You can say: ‘Meu querido amigo’ which means ‘My dear friend’

Maybe has the same roots in Latin language

it sounds like it more means "wanted" as in you would miss them if they were gone.

It would be “saudade”, “querido” is a adjective

O que tu queres sei eu...
