sure, no roi if you are not online, that's kinda obvious. but being offline is hardly connected to outdated channel states, this requires data corruption of some sort.

and the real risk of being offline (or Tor just not working at it should for some time due to ddos or whatever) is force closes, the bane of the lightning network. or your peer being offline, just as bad!

Now I understand why a pi or Intel nuc is really good. Low power, partial/spv node, and it can be kept online. With docker, can I run multiple nodes?

I believe a pi is a bad choice, as raid setups are difficult there. data integrity is difficult and backups only possible with #CLN as those have to be strictly realtime.
