Yep. It’s an archaic thing. The modern ones suck your lifeblood in the form of fiat. We call them politicians. Today’s kit would be a coldcard, titanium washers and a press stamp, and the outside of the box would be emblazoned with an orange ₿ instead of a cross.

The thing to keep in mind is that the modern kit will eventually look just as foolish & ancient as the vampire killing kit.
