If you received an unsolicited user registration email for a Farcaster client from notifier@farcaster.xyz, you should know that it was sent by a company called Merkle Manufactory, a California startup founded by Dan Romero that raised $30 million from Andreessen Horowitz, and you might want to let him know you're not happy with this.

it’s hilarious that these people will claim they’re building a “credibly neutral” protocol, and then accept seed funding for a “business”.
How do they not see that trying to monetize the development of the protocol itself contrasts with the goal of neutrality?
Easy, they just want their exit payday.

Is this actually from the company or could it be phishing?
Likely phishing, but using email addresses, a rookie method of account verification.
Lmao seems they are pulling a Richard Hert and buying leaked databases or something.
