I agree, but getting more followers is nice if done naturally. By posting content people value, you will get better interaction on your posts. Done this way followers can be a nice metric on the quality of your posts. 'Hey cool 100 followers' is about as far as I will go concerning followers.
The scammy stuff is cringey. I don't get it. What do you get from a bunch of followers that followed or reposted for sats.
