Does anyone have a real life story about getting wiped out with options or shorting?
I see the REKT bot & don’t think they are real people. Maybe just hedge funds or actual trading bots that short but cover to still make tiny profits on any movements.

Trading, real trading, isn’t done by humans anymore. At scale it is almost all algo’s, ai, automation. Literally almost 100%.
Agreed but I have met some ogs that still think they can time the market. They have so many coins that they don’t care
What they say & what they do are not the same.
Maybe Greg Foss is an example. But he lost his coins on some investment gone bad. And his numbers don’t make sense so I question his actual story too.

I think he got way over his skis being a cool inflooooencer. Lost his marbles a little.
But at the core I think he’s a good guy. He needs a huge reset.
He’s an interesting dude…and obviously has a great understanding of the bond markets…I miss his voice…it seemed mostly authentic…it was painful watching his fall from grace

That story is bizarre. I don’t know the real story there. Just narratives.
I don’t think he intentionally tried to steal or mislead there.

He seemed very impulsive…even in his prime. I have no doubt the dude isn’t perfect… but who is? But imho he seemed authentic (to the extent u can glean authenticity from podcasts)
We’ll prolly never know all the facts of that story…and he may be a complete sociopath but he sure sounded contrite and almost pitiful on his recovery tour…I’m with Mcd in this one…I think he prolly got in over his head and made some bad decisions…kinda similar to some of the recent stuff going on at Swan exchange🤷🏽♂️
