Could reuse vanity npubs as a way to bake PoW into nostr identity creation which would solve this bot spam.

i.e. only show people I follow and npubs that start with "npud21" or something like that (no clue what the correct number of characters would be). Could be a simple way to clean up global 🤷‍♂️

Could setup a set of reliable nip-05 domains. 2$ per address, like nostrich.house would be enough to prevent mass spam.

PoW in npud creation would be wayyyyyy more decentralized. I'm talking literally like 15-30 seconds of mobile CPU work. Even a short amount of time like that would protect against the flood we're seeing in #introductions
