A Payjoin payment, also known as Pay-to-endpoint, is a protocol that enables the Bitcoin wallet of a recipient and the Bitcoin wallet of a sender to communicate with each other in order to collaborate on creating a Bitcoin transaction.

Unlike standard Bitcoin transactions where all inputs belong to the sender, in a Payjoin transaction, both the sender and the recipient contribute coins as inputs.

This breaks the common input ownership heuristic, thus enhancing transaction privacy by making it harder for third parties to determine how much currency was actually transferred between the parties.
