I don't know why so many people struggle with reading it. It didn't take long to read and the language was clearly meant to address the average reader.
The only hang up might be the math, but you can't really do anything about that. Math is what it is.
I don't think it's as relevant now as people make it seem. It's a historical record, but Bitcoin has changed quite a bit since it was written and the paper is only covering the double spend problem anyway.
There's a lot more to #Bitcoin now. But yes, it's worth taking ten minutes to read it if you want to understand the time chain.
