With the upcoming BitBoxApp release, we are improving the way accounts work! 🎉
When restoring a BitBox02 or plugging into a new host device, the BitBoxApp will automatically check if there are any used accounts.
You will also be able to create more than 5 bitcoin accounts!

the account recovery was always a bit more complicated for beginners in my opinion
Would it be possible in a future update to show current balance (read only) without plugging in the bitbox? Especially on the go would be nice.
