I suspect that this will crash the rental market, as I would be shocked if developers didn’t buy these towers and rent them out for people to live in, dramatically increasing the supply of rental housing

Office to Resi is VERY expensive to do.

Does not work in most markets.

At a certain point many of these buildings have negative value because you have to tear them down and get rid of the debris.

Yes but renting out living space is infinite money. Somebody will think that it’s a worthwhile risk

I’m very familiar with this space.

It’ll work in major cities, otherwise they’ll end up tearing them down eventually.
