What's up? 🐶🙂

I’m working on the native Nostr meme generator app #memely together with nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7ct5d3shxtnwdaehgu3wd3skueqpzemhxue69uhky6t5vdhkjmn9wgh8xmmrd9skcqpqq6ps7m94jfdastx2tx76sj8sq4nxdhlsgmzns2tr4xt6ydx6grzszfj9yw . It isn’t published in the nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejz7qpq0r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7s85uvay yet, but we have already created, signed and broadcasted some memes from within the app.

I want to do a thorough code review that includes security and privacy considerations first, and we need some MVP polishing before shipping. The code is public on GitHub, but I’d feel reckless noting it here in its current state.

I imagine dogs’ lives will become much easier here on Nostr once you and the others can bark directly from a native Nostr meme app. I’m fairly new to creating memes, so I’m navigating a lot of offshore information about what a dog memer on Nostr actually needs these days.

While working on this, I offended another dog on Nostr in public with a note about possible dick‑pic memes in the personal meme folder of a top influencore npub that participated in the #memely discussion himself earlier. Then I once again found out, that delete requests don't purge 100%, so a frog could look at this note later on and wtf-ed once more on my note.

I hope I don’t do the same to you dog, best friend of a human being.

All in all it seems like normal days here on nostr.

Do you have anything to tell me about the bones you currently have in your mouth? ;-)

They started with an enlighting science project: the honeypot project. Then they launched commercial with CloudFlare. I remember, I was under the first 500 with two domains to which they gifted a t-shirt with all the domains written in small font. I should have thought about this marketing budget and their vision back then, not just now. This will resolve some time in the future for sure.

Nice! Early Cloudflare user here too. I think it’s been like 13yrs or more now. Back when some of the execs would respond to support tickets lol. Now, it’s an abysmal experience if you need help when something breaks (which is thankfully not very often). Even with Enterprise account the support is shit and your account manager doesn’t help much. But it’s still the best “serverless” and CDN platform imo.

I enjoy that you reply to me, nostr:nprofile1qqsdfx5syw3pmwsm8jpsdj3kn0ejg0vtgju0pdk3r9nq0aasny863hcpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wdnxcctjv5hxxmmd9uq35amnwvaz7tmnv4hxg6t59ehx7umxd3shyefwvdhk6tce90cwc. I don't remember much from this time, concerning web. I just needed DNS for a handful or less domains.

It feels the same like thinking about VoIP and remembering Roger Wilco. Haha.

In general and not exclusive to cloudflare I tend to think this is true, back in ye olde internette dayse many companies would personally answer support tickets

Then it became fuck that, this doesn’t scale, more VC money

Maybe it's the other way around. The VC money needed to penetrate all the good things because of inflation and the problems Bitcoin solves. Against such a flood, nobody had a chance to withstand it. Bitcoin fixes this; it's a lifeboat for all the support-ticket-answering CEOs, CTOs, and other three-letter-title corporate‑thinking professionals today.

IP tracking is brutal.

I just got my hands on a Chromebook to run "I have nothing to hide" usage tests with this device.

Since then, any digital‑privacy concerns raised by obsessive shadow‑coder types seem completely unnecessary. Just don’t use a Google account, and you’ll be among the top 100 privacy experts on the planet.

This Chrome OS thing totally blew my mind. I can recommend having the same experience yourself - 10/10.

Why?

The price is too high. And I don't think this is good thing anyway, yes it's monopoly in a sense, but not every monopoly is inherently bad.

From what I understand, Cloudflare is effectively man-in-the-middle that can technically read communications between you and the actual service.
