Safer than wos lol yes I woukd say

What are you using to zap? Only Phoenix?

I zap out from Phoenix yes.. I only receive to wos and move once there is about 3k sats

I'm just concerned about exposing my Phoenix #btc balance. At least with WoS, I only got a few thousand sats, not gonna cry if I lose it. Is it really, absolutely safe to use Phoenix for zapping though?

How would you expose your Phoenix balance and you shouldn't be hodl on the lightning network 🤔

My lightning wallets can disappear right now right now and it's like I never lost anything that's how you keep the lightning network wallet because you never know

I don’t recommend HODLing a significant amount on any Lightning wallet.

I have other accounts specifically for hodling, as I don't put all my eggs on a single basket, and I didn't even know it's a lightning wallet. Only now I knew, when my WoS zap didn't work, and I was prompted to choose other wallets, so I chose Phoenix, as that's the only one I have amongst all the options provided. What wallets are you using for hodling though?

Yes, I have done this but avoid it bc of the extra fee.

The extra fee doesn't bother me though, just the security of using it for zapping

I gotcha. Might not be best especially if you funded Phoenix with on chain. Not sure if zapping breaks the heuristics.

Set up an Alby wallet and fund it with your Phoenix.

Alby = pocket change

phoenix = checking

Onchain = savings

I use WoS for zapping on mobile, Alby on web
