Do not use the keyboard that comes with the OS, Graphene uses the stock Google AOSP apps which haven't been updated since like 2013. Replace all those apps with other FOSS alternatives, I recommend OpenBoard it has emojis, or even use Swiftkey or Google Keyboard which aren't FOSS but remove network permission that way they can't spy on you
