Only been playing with it for a few hours but I love the security/privacy implications. And how I can route most of the qubes through whonix, and create a qube for apps that don’t want work with tor so route it through normal networking. I also love that I can spin up a qube to just test out some shit and then wipe it when I’m done. My next project is to install start9 onto a qube and play around with it.

awesome 🔥 when you're ready check out running multiple sys-vpn cubes + the naked sys-net qube 😉

sys-vpn-usa

sys-vpn-ch

etc.

Ooooo… that’s interesting. Do you have some links to useful docs on that?

super easy. for example, with proton vpn gui app. install proton vpn app in a 'sys-vpn' template, create sys-vpn-us, sys-vpn-ch, etc qubes based on the template, net qube "sys-firewall", tick "start qube automatically on boot, tick the "provides network" box in settings, add network-manager in services add devices, save. set proton-vpn to start on boot, put the links in a launcher on the top pannel for convenience. it's good stuff

oof the typos. hopefully you got something out of that

Maybe a little over my head but I’ll hack at it. Thanks!!

all good. what vpn do you use?

I have Nord now, but looking at options.

cool cool. take your time, but yeah, it's a huge feature and lmk if you need help setting it up. just remember, app-vms inherit their apps from templates. take advantage of making multiple templates...some you will use only for one app-vm. this keeps your attack surface small and your qubes lean and fast 🤙🏻

Thank you!! You’re so kind. I’ll hit you up.
