I only started on nostr in the last few months. I havnt even settled on a lightning wallet. I’m looking for one on ios that is self custodial. Any suggestions? On chain I’m familiar with but with lightning I’m less than a beginner lol
Not a fan of ios. Having your own node is best but I cannot preach. My nodes have been offline for over a year.
You can try coinos but self custody is not viable without your own node. coinos.io
I run a node but I wasn’t sure if running lightning node on it along with a full btc node would undue my effort to future proof it with a 2tb hard drive. From what I’ve seen online it seems like I should definitely just use either my umbrel or embassy. What made me hesitant is I havnt the foggiest idea about channel management. Not sure if that will be an issue 🤔
I shut down my nodes after they started with inscriptions. Four terabyte ssd's are not worth the sats, yet. Channel management can be a pain if you do not have a reliable peer who does not mind low frequency usage. Non custodial lightning is a tradeoff I find acceptable for the time being.
