I have a tendency to over-engineer stuff I'm making. Are linear bearings too much for a guillotine? Can good old fashion wax and a wide dado-cut channel keep the blade moving just as well? #asknostr

Yeah a good edge radius on the blade shouldn't allow it to bind. Just worried about getting a sort of "tank slapper" bounce if the fit is too loose. 🤷‍♂️

So it's the terminal velocity you are concerned about? To much fall may break the machine.
