I'd more specifically get Nike gore tex trainers as few colours as possible, predominantly/ solely black.

I tend to go with some sort of trail show. Usually ASICS. I usually have a look about for gtx options
Brooks and saucony have been the nicest shoes I've had but they tend to bit quite pricey.
Always twmpted by altra lone peak. But they never seem to be on sale. But probably worth the price
Friend of mine recommended these to me, but for hiking. Seen good things said about them here and there on nostr too (the altras). Wearing those out... not unreasonable for those who value function over form.

Not a rapper, but i like to have spiffy shoes. I'm just horrible at finding them, and the Nike-type market out there really is tough. So many basic shoes I'll like enough to want, only to find out of stock or not in my size...
Check out some of the other replies, particularly the Flux ones (and others below). They seem cool to me thus far
It's a real shame Nike's ACG range went a bit crap. But they were always well made and looked nice. Might be worth checking that range to see what is out there tho.
I had a pair of LP Alpines (lone peaks) for the past two years cos I scored half off. Then bought a pair of Escalantes at BF this past year 25% off. Love my Altras. The LP Alpines are a bit dressier, but yes, hard to find on sale.
Check backcountry .com for sales. I only get the Original foot shape altras.
Saucony are a good alt too. Again I'd get a goretex version.

What's annoying, and part of why I even posed this on nostr, is the casual pair I liked was airmax 90 something or other, and I finally go to make final decision and notice that it's out of stock entirely. Every single time with Nike ffs (and it's on their f'ing site) as a search result). Don't they have armies of children who need work?! How are they the most popular shoe, yet I can't find anything decent in brick and mortar when I go, and online is often no better when I finally find something I like.

Ah yeah they are nice. I think you can't really go wrong with air force ones too. But they're associated a bit too much with Yookay roadman people and shop security stop me enough already without that look lol
Used to hate AF1s for some reason. Still kinda do, just a bit less

Took me a sec to figure out "yookay" was UK, thought was some rap or Japanese thing at first. Roadman appears to be some stereotype I'm unfamiliar with based on search results. Like a street wear G-Star aesthetic ?
